Willis Towers Watson is a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company that helps clients around the world turn risk into a path for growth, employing 40,000 people that serve more than 140 countries.

Their Leeds-based offices are one of several locations occupied by Willis Towers Watson in the UK. This site’s workforce has grown from 80 to 245 employees in a period spanning 17 years. To accommodate all teams in one building, they recently made the decision to relocate from 1 and 2 Wellington Place, to two floors of the new 5 Wellington Place in Leeds – expanding office occupancy to 26,500 sq ft.

CBRE’s Leeds Building Consultancy team oversaw the office-fit out and appointed leading office design specialists, Claremont, to deliver the project.

Interestingly, more than 80% of the interiors on this project were manufactured in Yorkshire – including Creatif’s leaf-style Mellow ceiling rafts. More than just a traditional interior acoustic panel; Mellow can be employed as a base material for creative solutions where design and aesthetics are important, making it the perfect choice when the professionals at Claremont required a solution to both address poor acoustics within the open plan working environment and aesthetically brought “a sense of the great Yorkshire outdoors into the expansive workplace”.
