Myo, London

ReSound used to create a dramatic acoustic ceiling.

Earlier this year, Landsec, one of the UK’s biggest commercial property firms, launched its new flexible office brand, Myo. Spread over two floors and covering 43,000 sq ft of office space at 123 Victoria Street, Myo offers its clients world-class working facilities.

Working alongside contractors Collins Construction, we helped ensure that Myo’s premium meeting rooms were an aesthetic and acoustic fit for the £4.3m venture.

The two rooms in question, Lane and Fox, feature a mixture of glass and solid partitions and this had the potential to be an acoustic nightmare, as reverberation can turn any conference space into a cacophonous catastrophe.

Thankfully, Myo’s architectural partners SODA had already factored this in, designing a ceiling cavity to house the necessary panelling. Needing to turn the plans into a reality, main contractor, Collins Construction, turned to us for help.

Taking into consideration the suspended lighting system, we designed and manufactured a set of bespoke ReSound panels.

These all featured a timber frame, Class A acoustic-rated inserts and were wrapped in Kvadrat’s Hero fabric to complement the rooms’ boutique feel. The installation went off without any problems, allowing for a successful handover and an equally successful launch for the Myo brand.
