Arup, Sheffield

A stunning arrangement of ReSound acoustic panels incorporating lighting.

Arup’s history in Sheffield began back in 1957, when the city became host to the company’s first office outside of London. Fast-forward almost 60 years and Arup’s presence in Sheffield is as prominenet as ever, resulting in increased growth.

With increased growth comes the need to accomodate more staff. This inevitably means more workspace is required, resulting in Arup’s need to re-think their existing office’s layout.

As you’d expect from the company behind the structural design of the Sydney Opera House, Arup has always been a firm looking to innovate. With this in mind, Arup’s fit-out company of choice, Overbury, consciously designed a scheme with a view to making it agile and flexible.

Being innovators ourselves, Creatif was approached to address the issue of high reverberation within this newly developed open plan, collaborative workspace.

ReSound ceiling baffles turned acoustic chaos into calm, allowing Arup’s staff to work and relax without noise distraction.

Speed of installation was key for this project and Creatif’s experienced team – from Project Managers through to Installation Specialists – were more than up to the task, delivering on time and on budget.

The end result… An environment that sounds as good as it looks!
